Date Night in Marblehead

Beautiful view from The Barnacle
There are so many great restaurants in Boston, but once in a while you just need to get out of the city. If you're looking to escape this weekend, grab your sweetie and try out this itinerary for a romantic date night in Marblehead.

5:00pm: Start at the Chandler Hovey Park and Marblehead Lighthouse. Hold hands, enjoy a stroll, and watch the scores of small, one-design racing yachts as they sail through the water.

7:30pm: Head to The Barnacle, a small sea-side eatery with fresh-off-the-boat seafood. You can see the lobster boats from the restaurant, and even if you're sitting inside you'll have an incredible view. Choose fresh steamed lobster and share a bottle of Chardonnay. You won't be disappointed.

9:30pm: Stop and grab some frozen yogurt or ice cream on your way back to the city on Revere Beach Parkway. Warm summer nights are simply made for indulging in a frozen treat while strolling the beach!

Neal and I took the drive up to Marblehead a couple weekends ago and it was absolutely delightful. I can't imagine a cuter town or a more perfect evening!
