Shakespeare on the Common

One of my favorite annual traditions in Boston is Shakespeare on the Common. Every summer, the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company  puts on a FREE show in the park. It's a great opportunity to pack a picnic, hang outside with friends, and enjoy a play the way Shakespeare envisioned it- performed, not read in a book.

This year, the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company is performing Twelfth Night, which is a comedy full of musical interludes and scenes that are sure to make you laugh. If you're not familiar with the story, you can check out She's The Man, a modern-day movie inspired by the famous play. Performances run July 23rd to August 10th, so grab your friends and some lawn chairs. I'll see you there!
