Sparkling Negroni

Image from The Crepes of Wrath
My favorite cocktail is a Negroni- the bitter flavor of Campari mixed with sweet vermouth and gin is a perfect drink to sip on. This New Year's Eve, try dressing up this classic cocktail with a bit of bubbly. It's a quick way to make a delicious drink more festive, and since it's New Year's Eve, the sparkling drinks should be flowing!

What You'll Need:
1 1/2 ounces Gin (Your choice, but note that Hendricks isn't great in a Negroni)
3/4 ounce Campari
3/4 ounce sweet Italian Vermouth
Sparkling Wine/Prosecco
Orange for garnish

  1. Shake the gin, campari, and vermouth in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Pour the cocktail into a glass (filled with ice if you choose) and top with a bit of bubbly. There's no need to use expensive champagne- a inexpensive bottle of prosecco will do the trick.
  3. Garnish with an orange rind or a wedge. Cheers!
